Authenic Vs. Replicate

           Authentic  Vs. Replicate

The speaker used the illustration of a fake jersey and a real jersey. If you look at a stack of jerseys put togther you would be able to tell the difference between a real jersey and a fake one. The only way you can tell the difference is by looking up close to the jerseys. The authentic jersey is   just like what the football, baseball, and basketball players wear when they play. The fake jersey is the replicate of the authentic jersey. It looks like its authentic but its not. Authentic jerseys also have labels on the jersey of proof of authentic brand. You can also tell in the prices of the jerseys.

                        Authentic Discipleship

                                  Mark 8:34-37

34.Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35.For whoever wants to save his life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it. 36What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? 37Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?

Criteria of Discipleship( Mark 8:34)

       1. Self- Denial ".......he must deny himself "

        2. Sacrifice".....take up his cross"

        3. Surrender"....and follow me"

Commitment of Discipleship ( Mark 8:35-36)

Example: Last night the speaker(Bobby) used the story of  him winning a fish at the fair. The fish he won was in a ziplock bag. After he left the fair and went home, he said that he was so happy about winning the fish that he showed his dad. In his house was a tank to hold the fish he won, but he wanted to keep the fish in the ziplock bag so he could have it in his room. Well as you know the fish didn't live long in that ziplock bag.

Your life in your own hands is like a fish in a plastic ziplock bag.

Your life=Your soul. Your soul and life is one in the same.

Currency of Discipleship ( Mark 8: 37)

Authentic discipleship was bought at a high price. Authentic discipleship=Jesus life.

Fellowship

Fellowship

                                    Philipians 2:1-5 says:

1)If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2)then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. 3)Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4)Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.5)Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

The word 'fellowship" means the condition of sharing similar interests, ideals, or experiences, as by reason of profession, religion, or nationality. The word fellowship is also define within the text in verse two above.

I feel like this topic is not always talked about, and when it is its not always used in the correct context. Fellowship to some may mean when you go to church and theres some big event taking place that involves food, which is true but fellowship is much more than that. Fellowship builds community. To some coming to church on Sunday and saying hi and bye to a brother or sister in Christ is defined as fellowship.

Well to me fellowship goes beyond a handshake. Not only does fellowship build community but it also embraces accountablity. How can we hold ourselves accountable for our own actions? We can't , we need one another for encouragement, and accountablity. You should have so much love for your sisters and brothers, that when they get out of line, you are able to come to them in love and with the truth.( the word of God)

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.(
Proverbs 12:17 NIV)

Like the text says above in Philipians 2:3-4 , we should look out for anothers best interest. Meaning that we should be there for one another. We should have each others backs. You don't do things for your brothers and sisters just so you can see what you get out of it, but do it out of love and humility.
Also with that being said that also means watching what we say to one another, if it is not something that will help your sisters and brothers grow , then you should rethink the words that are about to flow out of your mouth.

Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.
(Ephesians 4:29  New American Standard)

So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another.
(Romans 14:19 NIV)

Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.
(Colossians 4:6 NIV)

So brothers and sister lets be encouraging to one another and hold each other accountable. Lets build a community of believers who are one in truth and in heart. Let's have true fellowship.

                    Dear close friend , sister,
I love you girl you were truly a blessing in my life while you were here and even now. I know that you are in a better place, where there is no more pain , crying or suffering.. I know that your life has impact not only mine but others, you will be greatly missed. You had a smile that lit the world up  with joy. I remember all the good times we shared, I actually cannot think of any bad times that we shared.  Your dream of becoming a nurse and being in the medical field really encouraged me. I remember when we took a trip to Waco , TX for HOSA competition, and me , you and Tianna was the only black sistas there competiting. What a joy it was to see us come together and be happy for one another even though in the end none of us won, but I believe that we were winners in our hearts because no matter what,  we were determine to show the world that we are going to make it and be a sucess in  this world. I love you girl you have inspired me  beyond your own imagination. I always thought of you and Tianna as my little sisters, and when I graduated and went off to college  I  always kept  you guys in my prayers, because I knew God had a plan for you guys lives.  I love you so much and I know that you are looking down on us just smiling away like always. I will never forget you and I look forward to our reunion in heaven. Man I love ya girl ( tear) ...bye lil sis

WOW it has been truly a long summer for me. KAA what can I say it was pretty much awesome growing and having fun all in God's name. I have learned sooooooooooo much just being away and allowing God to use me to serve others.  WOW its amazing how although my parents allowed me travel at  a younger age, and allowed me to be exposed to things kids my age don't discover until they are about to retire , there was still some things that I was exposed to this summer that I never in my life have experienced. Belize oh my, it was just so beautiful I mean palm trees and water every where. I never thought I would be surrounded by the Carribean Sea while at the same time serving the Lord. Heres a piece of one of my journal entry to give you a taste of Belize:
" It's hot but beautiful how the wind blows the palm trees back and forth. The sun rises early and I am awaken by the mourning breeze. The shower is not the best shower, but every shower is refreshing and allows me to retire from a long hot day. The Carribean Sea is beautiful its waves make the heart of Belize. A refreshing burst of rain comes through. I run down the street with my arms up in the air, laughing as the afternoon showers relieves me from the sun rays, feeling free as my hair blows gently in the wind."

  Matthew 28 :19 & Acts 1:8
Go to places that take you out of your comfort zone, so that you can discover God as your comforter. The gospel doesn't have to stop where you live, you can go global  and  let people know about Jesus Christ. My experience in Belize made me crave God like a pregnant woman craves chocolate. Have every been really thristy in need of water , and when get that water its ice cold and something you have been waiting for, so you take that water bottle and you don't just take a little bit , as matter fact you end up spilling the water all over you and become soaked with the icy cold water. Have you every thrist for God like you thrist for water on a hot summer day? Well my friends I can truly say that I have experience that true longing for God, so much so that can't get enough of Him, and even when I am soak I  still want more  so keep pouring and pouring , and thrist more and more.

Heres a quote " God is most glorified when I am most satisfied in HIM"

I can't even tell  you how much I have learned within this blog, but I can tell you that over in Belize, God is glorified and is at work in the hearts of those people. When you  stop the great commission really you stop the great command. You stop the cycle of grace , that grace that Paul experience that later passed down to Timothy. The question is ,  are you ready to give up you to experience HIM (God).  Well I will be writing more, and I have more pictures getting developed so you will see my experience in Belize and camp captured on flim.   Be encouraged brothers and sisters stay in the race!!!!
         LOVE YA

Becoming a Woman of Excellence

WOW its been a minute since I have had a blog on here. Well recently I just got a new job at this place called Vacation Tour & Travel, it is a telemarketing company that sells vacations to people. I got the job last Friday and I started my training this past Thursday. Its been great so far meeting all the people who I am going to be working with.

Oh yeah by the way I had a awesome mission trip during spring break. I mean I got to see God work in ways that are amazing. Let me tell you, if you ever get to have an opprotunity to go a mission trip, I recommend you that you do. When you think about it mission is a part of our everyday lives, we don't have to take a trip to Africa or travel outside of our location, because mission work is needed to be done right in our neighbors or whereever we are. I got to work at a cemetary and I learned a lot of historical facts about the people where burried there. There were slaves and famous African American people who made a difference in this word burried at this cemetary ( Zion Cemetary). One day I  was looking around the cemetary and wondered to myself  " If I was to mark all the tombstones in this cemetary "saved" or  "lost "how many of those tombstones would be marked saved?" Another question I had to ask is how many of those ones who would be  marked as saved brought one lost soul to Christ and how many of those ones who would be marked as lost were introduced to Christ by someone? One thing that I did notice on the mission trip is there are a lot of people that proclaim or say that they are saved , but have no idea of what they believe in , or why they believe it? So in reality they are still lost. Wow it is kindof like a eye opener to me , because I realize  that sometimes , okay most of the time, I am not doing my job as a Christian, which is sharing the gift of life to the ones who don't have life that are dead, and to the ones who think they have life but still walking like they are dead. I also got to learn what true community/fellowship is.I learned that I can't trust my own flesh, because I am liable to slip up, therefore it is truly important for me to have true accountablity with my community.  But yeah thats pretty much what I got out of the mission trip!!!!

. Let me say this to all my single peoples : Why settle for anything/anyone and waste time getting nothing out of it? What  is the point of dating someone who is not going in the same direction as you, who is on a totally different page ?  spirtual and mental note. I mean are you serious are really going to settle for something that is not worth your time and waste your time? Why not wait? Summit to God, and allow His desire to become yours and in due season your time will come. Accountablity is definitely a key. The word of God is the major thing that you need to mediate on. Your mind is a battlefield where wars occur daily, shield it with the TRUTH.  Apply to you heart discipline and your ears words of knowledge. ( Proverbs 23:12)

MANNNN...... a got about month before K-A-A ( Kids Across America) begins for the summer. I am soooooooooo excited about it. Can't wait. Oh yeah by the way my miming group is going great, we are actually ministering on the 12th of this month at Texas Woman's University. I am sooo excited. I also see a lot of growth in the girls involved in the ministry.

Well on to another exciting week...I love ya

Pray  that the love of Christ is revealed to the lost through the power of God's word, and through the boldeness of  Christ's followers.
